Why I write

I've always loved reading stories about families, but rarely find one that interests me in the LGBT genre. I started writing my own stories in college, and finally decided to try my hand at sharing them. What started out as a way to pass the time, eventually sparked a passion that i didn't even know was there. I had no way of knowing that my stories would entertain others, especially considering that my characters are lesbians, and was pleasantly surprised when I started getting requests for more. I love my children, and often model my child characters after them. My goal is to make the reader feel as though they know the characters on a personal level. I want people to read one of my books and think, "I can totally see myself being friends with this character!"
